Okay, to make up for a lifetime of being a leather purse 'snob', I've been trying several PU purses from Amazon. This hobo is my newest. Very large purse with lots of room. However, zippers were the first thing to draw my attention. Right outta packaging, zippers were 'closed'...but open. I spent a few minutes very carefully getting them to work. Then opened bag to find all the zippers inside were in same condition. One review I read before purchasing complained of zippers and the ends sticking up, but I know you can usually just tuck zipper ends into opening of bag. So I did the tucking but then I used paraffin wax on all the zippers to help them open easier. Does seem to have worked-so far. I don't intend to use cross body strap, but the same review about zippers stated the hardware wasn't metal, but plastic. The hardware on majority of this purse is metal...except for the cross body strap. That appears to be gold colored plastic. But, as I said, I don't plan on using that strap. I clip my keys onto that clip, so not an issue. I am a purse snob and I do switch bags very often. This means I buy purses often. Usually leather, but trying this new PU to not feel as guilty about ...well, the leather. I am very fussy with my purses...I know what I want in a bag...lots of storage, zipper closures...if I could design bags for a living, I'd have my dream job. So, as far as this purse...for the price, it's fine. I just want to advise about the dodgy zippers and the certain hardware that doesn't seem to be 'hardware'. If you are careful with zippers, use paraffin wax on them, and don't need crossbody strap, great bag. I will update after using bag for awhile.
